Shawn Mendes

Mia had NO idea where I was taking her...on a secret special surprise
to down town Phoenix. We drove by Comerica Theatre...and there were tons
of people walking around. She had NO clue I was taking her to see...
Shawn Mendes live in concert! Ahhhh!!!!

Thank you SO much Eric for letting me take Mia to this
very special surprise VIP experience to see Shawn Mendes!!

VIP Tickets sitting in the suite...yes please!

Super nice lounge area at Comerica Theatre.

The view from the balcany...

What do you think Mia?!

What a special memory...even if it was with boring old mom, I got to see
Mia scream and sing as loud as she could. Living life
We had the best time ever!!

The Big Outside - Playground for Hospital Kids

...to be healed. Always. Forever. Amen.

Mia is a super star. If you've met her, you know why. she was born to
perform...and direct! She was so happy to help her hospital (Cardon Children's)
with a very special video project to help raise funds
for an outdoor playground to be used for little patients to escape and have fun.

Too funny...

Mia answering some very heart warming questions.

We are SO excited to see the final product...and we will be sure to post it!

Tucson Trip - BMT

We were referred to speak with a bone marrow transplant
specialist down in Tucson...to see if that really would be an
option for Mia. We haven't really looked into it a whole lot
because none of Mia's sisters are a complete 'match' for the best
survival rates possible. So...it never hurts to ask questions.

Mia's little Sis Maddie went with her for support...it's
always fun to have a sister around.

Typical Mia.

Ok let's do this...we met Dr. K who is awesome! We had a great conversation about
the possibility of Mia being cured with a bone marrow match
Please see: Be The Match for more information.
(If YOU are reading this, you could potentially save a life.)
Click Here to see how by a simple cheek swab.

We never knew Diamond Children's Hospital was down in Tucson.
We hope they can help us cure Mia of Diamond Blackfan Anemia,
God willing.

It happened to be National Hot Dog day...thanks dad for lunch!

Mia's 143rd Blood Transfusion

Mia getting ready for her 143rd, type and cross to match
the blood she will receive. Her Hgb is 9.2 - she's feeling crummy.
She could not muster up enough energy to go see a movie
with her sisters...so sad.

Pokes...pokes...and pokes...
Who likes needles?? Anyone??

She was beyond tired...she slept most of the morning which
she never does. She was exhausted.

You will will feel better soon Mia!

Shawn Mendes always helps...

Thanks Shawn Mendes for making Mia feel better!

Look what happens when you receive a little blood...
you feel alive again.

We tweeted this photo to 12News...and they put it out on all
their socail media sites...encouraging people to donate blood.
Thanks 12news...!

More sleeping time in the afternoon.

Dad is a hero, he took Mia to see the movie she missed out on because
she wasn't well enough to go.

These lovely ladies went and donated blood when they
saw Mia's photo on 12 news...
We could never say thank you enough!
Real #LifeSavers

This warms my heart!!

Thank you for this generous gift of life!
