Mia'a 100th Blood Transfusion

It's been exactly 2 years since Mia's 100th transfusion at
Cardon Children's Medical Center. Where has the time gone?!
She had so many fun visits, news cameras, and ice cream with her nurses that day.

Mia's Shout Out from the President

It's not everyday your daughter gets mentioned by the President Obama
on live Television! Wow, talk about...wow.
Thanks to the WNBA Phoenix Mercury for signing Mia as their
honorary Coach during the 2014 Championship...which they won, in honor of Be The Match.
We hope this helps raise awareness of Be The Match -
Mia could potentially be cured if she found a matching bone marrow donor,
as none of her sisters are a sibling match.
Thanks for the shout out POTUS, Mr. President Obama!

Now if only Mia could GO to the White House and share her story.

#1989tourGlendale

What a great memory for Mia & her sisters...they were surprised with tickets to the Taylor Swift #1989tourGlendale concert on Monday night. They had a great time and rocked out all night to their favorite songs. We are especially grateful to people that donate their blood to patients like Mia who need it to survive...thank you so much because without you Mia wouldn't be here. Thank you blood donors for allowing Mia to be a part of this memorable night. #DonateBlood #GiveBlood #BadBlood #MiasMarrow

Ode to Taylor Swift

These girls were surprised with tickets to the Taylor Swift Concert last Friday night!! You can watch the Youtube video by clicking here. What a wonderful surprise!!!

Thanks to our sweet neighbor Ken who thought of these girls back in February when the tickets came on sale...and wanted them to go so badly to her concert, he bought 4 tickets for them. Make sure you watch the video above to see how the girls were surprised on Ken's Birthday!!

Mia has battled 'Bad Blood' all her life. I sincerely hope someone can help here and her sisters meet Taylor Swift, even for a moment! It would mean everything. Mia's sisters have truly been there for her for almost 13 years. Having a child with a life threatening illness affects more than just the child...it affects the whole family. Mia is alive today because of generous blood donors...words could never say thank you enough. I wish more than anything these sweet girls of mine could make an epic memory...of meeting Taylor Swift.

Mama McP is crazy and wrote a poem to Taylor Swift...haha! My hope is that someone would see this and let these girls meet her. The memory would be forever!

Mia's 129 Blood Transfusion

Mia was so tired after getting her IV going that she slept for an hour. She usually doesn't. My prayer was that she would feel more alive when she woke up.

Kindness From Lebanon

I came across someone posting a photo of this awesome bracelet on Instagram a few month ago.  I've never seen anything like it that has a blood type on it and thought it was so neat. I left a comment and ended up emailing Yorgui, the Founder and President of Donner Sang Compter - in Lebanon!!! He hosts MANY blood drives and links blood donors to patients in need everyday. For some reason this bracelet just touched my heart...it's a simple reminder of those that need blood to survive, like Mia.
