Mia Speaks at Highland High School

Mia had the opportunity to speak to the students at 

Highland High School 

about how she survives because of blood donors.

The students are hosting a blood drive

in February and are trying to recruit as many blood donors as

they can. We hope Mia's story can help inspire

others to donate blood.

There class is a community service class - and one event

they do is host several blood drives.

Every school should have teachers as awesome

as they are.

community in such a way where it helps patients like Mia.

Banner Children's Golf Tournament - Mia The Emcee

Mia was asked to help be the Junior Emcee along side of 

Mathew Blades from the Radio...to benefit the Banner Children's

Hopsital School Program...where no kids are left behind!

It was a great day, no too hot, up in Scottsdale at the JW Mariott

Wildfire Golf Club.

Mia actually drove around the golf course and thanked 

everyone for participating and donating to such a great cause!

She's actually a really good driver!

We had fun together :)

We caught up with Tyson Nash from the AZ Coyotes...

he would like to have a Be The Match Drive at the 

Coyotes to help get more cheek swabs into the registry.

Mia is a star everywhere she goes!!

player turned teacher...SO cool. What a very nice guy!

Thank you to Banner Children's for allowing us to help with

fundraising efforts at the hospital we've been at for over 14 years.

We love you so much for keeping Mia alive all these years!!

VERY THANKFUL for all that you do!

After Mia's doctor appointment, we stopped by

Highland High School to say thanks to the students,

parents, and teachers for taking the time to donate blood.

Mia's blood counts were actually very low (8.4 hgb)

so we didn't stay long.

The theme was surfing...to cute!

Mia loves surfing in California.

Mia Helps Make A Wish - Hamilton Vs. Chandler

Mia was asked to be a Make A Wish representative 'wish kid' to accept a check

 that Hamilton High School and Chandler High School raised

in a competition to see what school could raise the most money...

combined the schools raised $4,930.92 !!!

Wow, great job students and parents!

Mia was the perfect wish kid ambassador for such a special

occasion...Go Mia!

United Blood Services / VolunTEENS

What a fund morning of talking to VolunTEENS at Dignity Health / Mercy Gilbert Hospital

about the importance of donating blood. Mia knows first hand that she would not be alive

without people taking the time to donate blood.

Mia and her United Blood Services buddy Sharon work so well together!
