Thank You...Hearts With Hope!

Mia was blessed with a special package in the mail by:

How sweet and thoughtful of you to think of Mia.
Let me tell you, when you have a child with a life threatening illness,
anything that brings a smile to their face makes your heart
burst with joy. It's extra special when others think of them.

Mia LOVES movies & treats!
(partly I think because she get so tired all the time with
not making any red blood cells)
So this was the perfect gift for her!
Thank you SO much Hearts With Hope for thinking of her!

STS - Busting Butts

Mia volunteered to the 5th AnnuaSTS
Busting Butts to Save Breasts 5K to help raise awareness
for this important issue.

Our family LOVES the Keppel family who owns
Scott's Training Systems in Chandler AZ.
If you haven't been there, you need to check it out.
It's without a doubt the most positive place to workout ever!

Mia also loves her friend Alex, her mom Melissa, a 2 time breast
cancer survivor, is who the race is in honor of.

Mia got to meet Miss Arizona at the race too!

All the sisters were there to support Scott and his mission to
raise awareness of breast cancer.

Nice job Family!!! Way to support others!

Mia's 163rd Blood Transfusion

I hate how she has to have SO many pokes. The scar tissue
on her precious hands makes me sad.
We tried a port once, which we never wanted to get, but it clotted...
because we don't go often enough to really have one.
Annoying.

Sweet Mia I pray one day you will be healed so you don't have to go through
all this. I know if not now, or on this earth, then for sure in heaven.

One thing that helps getting all those pokes is the toy closet.
It's hard for older kids to get
excited about little kid toys...so Mia usually picks out a book.

Looking forward to feeling better...!!

Be The Match @ ASU Downtown

Mia was given the opportunity to briefly share her story (of how
to be cured of DBA she would need a bone marrow transplant) to a
fabulous group of students at the ASU Downtown campus who
wants to host a bone marrow drive in Phoenix.
Mia had a blast!

Of course...she rocked it.

These students are awesome for wanting to help find not only Mia a Match,
but others who need life saving bone marrow transplants as well.
If you would like more info about Be The Match,
